Hi everyone! I’m still making my way through my emails and the responses from companies about their animal-testing policies but I hope to have something different, like a review or tutorial, over the weekend for you. 🙂
Anyhoo, while blitzing my sent box with emails I included Sugarpill in my cruelty-free investigations. I have never owned, nor tried, their products but I came across them on Instagram and was immediately struck by the vibrant and pigmented line!
I emailed them my cruelty-free questionnaire and here is their response:
Thank you for your interest in Sugarpill! Sugarpill is a cruelty-free cosmetics line and our products are never tested on animals at any point during production. We also buy from suppliers who abide by that as well.
We are still a small indie brand and do not have a parent company.
We do ship worldwide to our customers who purchase from our website. The law that requires animal testing applies to wholesale distribution and retail within China. We do not have any retailers in China and would not consider retailing in that country unless animal testing is not required.
You may find our vegan products here http://www.sugarpillshop.com/collections/vegan
Hope that helps and thank you for your support!
I was super happy with their email because they answered my questions individually and even gave me a link to the Vegan section of their website. (Really appreciative that they even have a labelled Vegan section on their site!) I felt no need to follow up with further questions like I have with most and I really felt their enthusiasm for being a cruelty-free brand.
I will be adding their brand to my Shopping List and you know what’s even better? They ship to Ireland! I’ve heard of a lot of cruelty-free brands lately that don’t ship here and that’s upsetting but if I ever get around to emigrating like I want, maybe then I can try those. 🙂
